Psalm 119:93  "I will never forget Thy precepts; for with them Thou hast quickened me."  The meaning for the word precepts here is order; commandments; and mandates from God.  I love the part of this verse that states God's precepts hast quickened me.  The Hebrew word for quickened is "chayah" which means to live, exist, enjoy life; to live anew; to recover; to be well; to make alive, enliven, animate; to preserve; to refresh; and to rebuild.  We could read this verse like this...I will never forget Your precepts, for it is by them You have made me alive!  Isn't that exciting?  God's Word should change us, excite us, refresh us and make us alive!  Nine years ago God began a work in my life that brought me to a place where I began searching His Word for answers in my own life.  I now enjoy a love relationship with God that continues to change me.  We sing a song at Emmanuel called "From the Inside Out"  and I have found that God, through His Word, does change me from the inside out!  God's Word has changed my marriage, our home, my service and most importantly my heart! 

You, the women of Emmanuel, have an awesome opportunity to be involved in Bible Study beginning in September!  Not only will you grow in your relationship with God but will enjoy the benefits of fellowship with other women.  I challenge each of you to give Bible Study a try in the Fall.  I do not believe you will be disappointed.  There are many things in this life that I cannot promise you.  However, I can promise you that being in God's Word will change your life for the good.  Nothing thrills me more than God teaching me a new truth in His Word!  Prayerfully consider joining us in September.  We offer several studies during the week and we are adding a Bible Study on Thursday mornings for our ladies 50 and up!  I look forward to seeing you in Bible Study soon!

Sundays (4:45-5:45) - "Jonah" by Priscilla Shirer  What do we do when God interrupts our lives?  Many times, like Jonah, we run!  This study teaches that what might seem like an interruption is actually a divine invitation to do something bigger than we could ever imagine.  (7 sessions)

Tuesdays (7:00-8:30) - "Faithful, Abundant, True" by Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore  While these three women each speak on the distinctive topic the Holy Spirit had lead them to teach, the messages result in a marvelous blend.  Kay challenges us to faithfulness in difficult days.  Priscilla points to the essential of trust in God's ability, and Beth teaches on how to discern truth from error in these difficult days.  (6 sessions)

Wednesdays (6:20-7:40) - "Do You Think I'm Beautiful" by Angela Thomas  The God of Heaven call you Beautiful!  "The king is enthralled by your beauty"  Psalm 45:11  In this study Angela will help you recover the secret longings of your heart and invite you to embrace the One who finds you unspeakably desirable.  You will see in yourself the woman God created and loves.  (7 sessions)

Thursdays (9:15-11:00) - "He Is" by Beth Moore  Video collection of four messages by Beth Moore.  Based on the scripture, Hebrews 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that HE IS and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."  This study does not include homework!  (4 sessions)

Thursday (9:15-11:00) - "Jonah" by Priscilla Shirer  See Sunday Bible Study for information

Thursday morning studies include breakfast.  Ladies rotate bringing food.  Sign up in groups of two or more!
